Malhar 2026 sponsors: Shein is the third title sponsor in three years

Malhar, the intercollegiate festival of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, ran from 13 to 15 August 2026 with Shein as its title sponsor. The fest's own sponsor page lists 32 brands and partners for the 2026 edition, six of them media partners. Malhar 2027 dates have not been announced. Who sponsored Malhar 2026?

These are the brands on Malhar's sponsor page, with the fest's own tier words. The fest prints short names for several of them, such as JC, OCD, TBC and UFO, and does not say which companies they are, so neither do we. The page gives no amounts.

The six media partners are CulSeq, Navabharat, Lokmat, Free Press Journal, Gallinews and Sacchi Siksha.

Food and drink fill the list. Eight partners carry a food or drink tier, from Bisleri as “Drink Partner” to Wok Tok as “Hunger Partner”. Two Malhar partners were also on IIT Bombay's Mood Indigo list in December 2025: Nykaa as a partner and Pluckk as its Official Fresh Partner.

One brand worked with Malhar without making the page. A pre-event, Spider-Man: Brand New Bash, ran “in an official partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment India”, the Free Press Journal reported on 6 August. Sony Pictures is not on the sponsor page.

Who was the title sponsor of Malhar 2026?

Shein. The fest's page gives it the “Title Sponsor” block and the tier “Title Sponsor (Clothing Partner)”. The Conclave, Malhar's speaker programme, has its own sponsor, OPL.

The title has changed hands every year on record. In 2024 it was Myntra FWD, on the fest's page as archived by the Internet Archive. In 2025 it was Sammmm, mid-day reported on 9 August 2025.

Which sponsors came back?

No full sponsor list for Malhar 2025 was published. The fest's sponsor page still showed its 2024 list, headed “Malhar Fest '24”, as late as September 2025. So the comparison runs from the 2024 page to the 2026 page, with what mid-day reported in between.

Three names are on both pages: JioSaavn, Mogu Mogu and Lokmat. JioSaavn is the only one in all three years. Mid-day reported that Malhar by the Bay, the 2025 pre-event on 5 August, was “organised in collaboration with JioSaavn” and supported by Furtados.

Names on the 2024 page that are missing from the 2026 page include Myntra FWD, Wild Stone, Dabur Gulabari, TIC TAC India and NDTV Marathi.

When is Malhar 2027?

Malhar 2027 dates have not been announced. Malhar 2026 ran from 13 to 15 August and had come to a close by 21 August, the Free Press Journal reported. In 2025 the fest's Conclave was on 15 and 16 August, the same paper reported. The fest says it draws 15,000+ attendees a year on its About page and a footfall of 20,000+ on another page.
