Saurabh Garg
Saurabh Garg writes the Monumentum Insights reports. He founded C4E, a marketing, content and events collective, in 2014, and has twenty years of marketing work behind him. He also writes biographies and memoirs for other people at sgwashere.com. He works between Dubai and Mumbai.
Brand consulting
C4E does brand, digital, customer insight and live experience work. Its clients run from large multinationals to early-stage startups, plus communication agencies that want a second head on their own clients. One idea sits under all of it: help brands become verbs.
The work has crossed markets: fintech platforms in Singapore, healthtech startups in Mumbai, beauty brands launching across MENA, and construction-equipment makers moving into Southeast Asia. Four pieces of it, as C4E publishes them, without client names:
A national fintech conference
A government-backed event needed one identity for global investors, domestic innovators, regulators and enterprises. C4E interviewed more than 40 stakeholders. The identity ran three years. Attendance grew from 3,000 to more than 10,000.
A wearable against two global giants
A health-tracking wearable was competing with two global giants. C4E repositioned it as a partner for ambitious people who want to thrive without giving up their health.
A genomics launch
A preventive-health startup backed by a listed wellness company needed a D2C genomics business in India. C4E built the launch brand on one truth: every person is different, and control starts with knowing your DNA.
Natural oils, India and MENA
A D2C oils brand had to get past sticky and inconvenient. C4E gave it premium positioning and a sharper audience for modern women across India and MENA.
Writing
Saurabh has written on the internet since 2004. That is more than 2,000 posts at saurabhgarg.com, with a Weekly Note every Sunday.
He writes books for other people at sgwashere.com: authorised biographies, founder stories, memoirs and family legacy books, for Indian founders, industrialists and families in India and across the diaspora. One book at a time, every word his own. He interviews in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
His novel, The Nidhi Kapoor Story, a Mumbai thriller, came out from Grapevine in 2014. The second novel is still unfinished. He has also taught cohort courses on long-form writing and personal branding.
What else he has built
- Meru Activs. A supplement brand for people in their fifties and beyond.
- The Podium. The podcast network he co-founded. At its peak: 12 shows, 20-odd hosts, hundreds of guests. Founder Thesis, built with Akshay Datt, came out of it.
- 5x5. An online grocery business in Mumbai, 2012 to 2013.
Reports on Monumentum
Before you quote him
C4E runs Monumentum, and C4E works with brands on campaigns and events. A brand on Monumentum does not mean it works with C4E. How we check covers the method and how to correct a row.
This is not the Saurabh Garg who co-founded NoBroker, and not the civil servant on Wikipedia. Three people share the name.
