How it works

The rate is your average views ÷ 1,000 × a rate per 1,000 views × a multiplier for the format. A mention is the base. A 60-second segment with a pinned comment is 1.8 times the base, and several integrations or a dedicated video is 2.5 times. Technology and Business channels get 1.3 times on top.

The default rate and every multiplier come from one source, the Boss Wallah guide to YouTube sponsorship rates (Sep 2025). Published Indian figures disagree with each other, so the rate is editable: put in your own when you have real quotes. AdSense rates by niche are in upGrowth's YouTube money calculator.

The brand list is Monumentum's own record of sponsors on 252 Indian YouTube channels.

Questions people ask

How much do YouTubers charge for a sponsorship in India?

Published figures vary widely. One guide (Boss Wallah, Sep 2025) puts Indian channels with 10,000 to 50,000 subscribers at ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 a video, 50,000 to 100,000 subscribers at ₹30,000 to ₹80,000 an integration, and channels over 100,000 at ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh or more. The calculator starts from views, because views are what a brand pays to reach.

How is a YouTube sponsorship rate calculated?

Average views per video, divided by 1,000, times a rate per 1,000 views, times a multiplier for what the brand gets. The default rate here is ₹1,265 to ₹2,109 per 1,000 views, the sponsorship range in the Boss Wallah guide. Change it if you have your own quotes.

Do tech and finance channels earn more?

Yes. The same guide multiplies base rates by 1.3 for premium niches such as tech and finance, and the calculator applies that to Technology and Business channels.

What should I charge for a YouTube Short?

We have not found a published India figure for Shorts we would stand behind, so the calculator does not guess one. Price a Short from its own average views, and expect a lower rate per 1,000 views than a long video.

Does a foreign audience raise my rate?

It can. The Boss Wallah guide says viewers in the US, UK, Canada or Australia lift earnings by 20 to 50 percent. If a large share of your views come from there, raise the rate per 1,000 views.

Is a sponsorship the same as AdSense income?

No. AdSense pays you a share of what advertisers pay YouTube. upGrowth’s 2026 table puts India ad rates at ₹20 to ₹80 per 1,000 for entertainment and ₹250 to ₹1,000 for finance. A sponsorship is a separate deal you negotiate with the brand directly, and YouTube takes no share of it.
