OG Onam

Festive · 14 Aug 2026

A ten-day Onam festive push positioning Asianet as the original home of the festival for Kerala and the Malayali diaspora. It bundled film premieres including Vazha 2 and Drishyam 3 with Bigg Boss Agnipareeksha, the Star Singer season 10 finale, food shows Onaruchimelam and Onakalavara, and festive episodes of the channel's fiction slate, and was sold to advertisers as a single festive stage.

Pooppattu

Digital/social · 25 Aug 2025

An Onam film built as a song made of flowers, pitched by the channel as the world's first flower song, which set out to bring the meaning of the pookalam tradition back into public memory and the ritual of families gathering flowers together. Krishnan Kutty, who heads the South entertainment cluster at JioStar, framed it as tradition rebuilt with technology.

A two-minute Valentine's film in which veteran Malayalam villain TG Ravi looks back on a life of never finding love, played at younger ages by his own son Sreejith Ravi, his grandson Ritwunjay and Sanju Sanichan.
