Aquaventure World relaunched itself with David Hasselhoff put back on lifeguard duty, seeded as leaked footage of him running morning briefings, testing slides and queueing in the canteen, then extended into a hero film with adrenaline athletes and creators plus new photography, radio and on-park activations.

A three-night invitation-only opening event on Palm Jumeirah built as the launch of the resort, with a guest list of celebrities, influencers and media. Beyonce played a sixty-minute set, her first concert in five years, alongside Swedish House Mafia, a fireworks display and dinners staged across the resort's restaurants.
